Bhadkal Gate closed for vehicular movement
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The traffic branch has issued an advisory stating that vehicular movement through the heritage Bhadkal Gate (Jubilee Park) will remain closed for all types of vehicles from May 11 until completion of the conservation work.
According to a press release issued by Assistant Police Inspector (Traffic Branch-II) Sunil Karale, the office of the Assistant Director, Department of Archaeology, has undertaken conservation work of the heritage gate and has already issued a work order to the contractor, who is expected to commence work shortly.
As per the traffic advisory, motorists travelling from Juna Bazar towards Bhadkal Gate should take a left turn near the Girls ITI and then a right turn from Ruchira Mess to proceed towards Jubilee Park and further ahead.
Similarly, vehicles coming from Navkhanda College and heading towards Juna Bazar have been advised to use the slip road leading towards the Town Hall area and continue their journey by passing beneath the Malik Amber Flyover, the release stated.
