Big opportunities for SMEs in chemical sector: Man Mohan Sharma

Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) should focus on high-value, technology-based chemical products that require less quantity but offer better returns, said Padma Vibhushan Man Mohan Sharma.

He was speaking at a symposium on "Entrepreneurial Opportunities in the Chemical Industry for SMEs," held in a city hotel on Saturday. The event was organized by the Marathwada chapter of the alumni association of the Department of Chemical Technology, University of Mumbai. vice chancellor of the Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT) Mumbai Padma Bhushan Aniruddha Pandit was present as the chief guest. In the opening remarks, B.S. Khoshe, President of the alumni association’s Marathwada chapter, said the association will work as a link between ICT Mumbai, the chemical industry, and academic institutions, offering solutions to technical issues. Director of Garware Company Mohandas Adsul, proposed the vote of thanks.
