Aurangabad, Feb 25:

CA Pankaj Soni and CA Praveen Bangad were elected chairman and secretary of the city branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), respectively.

The new office-bearers for the year 2021-22 were elected recently.

The names of other office-bearers are as follows; CA Yogesh Agarwal (vice-chairman), CA Ganesh Bhalerao (treasurer), CA Rupali Bothara (Western India Chartered Accountants Students Association (WICASA)-chairperson, CA Umesh Sharma (regional council member) CA Ganesh Shilwant and CA Rohan Achalia (members).

Addressing a press conference here on Thursday after taking the post, CA Pankaj Soni said that they would organise conferences and seminars on amendments in taxation and corporate laws for CAs, investors, and public awareness programmes. The seminars will provide value addition and awareness to the CA members of the branch.

CA Rupali Bothara, the chairperson of WICASA, the students association of the CA, said that more new students would be added to its wing and will conduct career counselling programmes throughout Marathwada. The branch has 900 plus members in the city.
