A car stolen from in front of a hotel in Bajajnagar was recovered along with the accused from Shirdi within four hours by Waluj MIDC police. Investigation revealed the 20-year-old suspect exploited the car keys left inside.

Malhari Khedkar had parked his car (MH-20-HN-0822) outside the hotel around 10 pm on Tuesday. On checking at 5 am on Wednesday, the car was missing. After an unsuccessful search, he reported it to police. Senior inspector Rameshwar Gadhe immediately formed a special team. Police sub-inspectors Sagar Patil and Pravin Patharkar analyzed CCTV footage and technical data. Meanwhile, a lodge operator on Shirdi Road spotted a car with a flat tire in a suspicious spot, verified its details online, and informed the police. Officers promptly recovered the vehicle. Prashik Borade (20, Khamgaon, tehsil Kannad currently residing at Ranjangaon), was arrested. The police recovered the car along with the accused within four hours of the complaint.
