A case has emerged after a person shared a derogatory post with a morphed photo of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on a college WhatsApp group. The incident came to light on Friday around 10 pm. The accused has been identified as Sohel Saeed Shaikh, a resident of Chishti Colony.
According to a complaint by BJP Youth Morcha city secretary Gajanan Deshmukh (N-3, Cidco), Sohel Shaikh shared a morphed image mocking the Prime Minister in the college’s SBC IT-2025 WhatsApp group. The post also contained offensive text under the guise of a college event. The complaint stated that the act was intended to insult the Prime Minister’s position and create discord between communities. A case has been registered at Cidco police station, and further investigation is being conducted by police sub-inspector Nivrutti Gayke.
