Chaos at Banoti Mahashivratri Fair: Rs 10 Lakh jewellry stolen from 15 Women

During the five-day Mahashivratri fair in Banoti, Soygaon tehsil, thieves struck on Monday and Tuesday, stealing gold jewelry worth Rs 10 lakh from 15 women. Victims, from Banoti, Hanumantkheda, Khadak Deola, Palashi, Satgaon, and Nibhora, lost necklaces, mangalsutras, and chains weighing 3- 6 grams each.
Police have arrested three suspects, now under interrogation. The investigation is led by police sub-inspector Gajanan R.K., constables Raju Barde, N.S. Khode, and Sandeep Susar under police inspector Gajanan Barwal.
Separate case: Trishika Magar (25, Pahuri, Soygaon) filed a complaint that an unknown woman snatched her 3.5-gram gold pendant at the fair and fled. Police have registered a case.
