Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

The city has witnessed an increase in the number of foreign nationals in recent months, primarily due to educational and employment opportunities. According to official records, 611 foreign nationals are currently residing in the city.

The steady influx of foreign nationals highlights the city's growing appeal among international students and professionals. With new investments flourishing, the number of foreign residents is expected to rise in the coming years. The city’s evolving landscape indicates a steady increase in foreign nationals, making it an emerging centre for global education and investment.

Education driving foreign influx

Among the foreign nationals, the majority are students. Out of the 611 individuals, approximately 475 have arrived in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar for higher education. Most of these students hail from Yemen and are pursuing PhD and Master’s degrees at the city's universities, while a smaller number are enrolled in Bachelor’s programs.

Employment & investment opportunities

Apart from students, 15 foreign nationals currently reside in the city on employment visas. Experts suggest that the city's expanding investment landscape may attract more Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) seeking opportunities in the near future.

Housing & legal requirements for foreign nationals

Authorities have urged landlords to sign rental agreements when leasing properties to foreign nationals. Many homeowners fail to complete this legal formality, which can lead to legal complications. Residents are advised to ensure proper documentation to avoid future issues.
