Aurangabad, Feb 8:

Dr Babasaaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (BAMU) asked colleges to take permission from district collector, district disaster management authority, municipal corporation and council before started classes from February 15.

It may be noted that the State Government gave permission to all universities and colleges to restart classes for students from February 15 by following all measures of Novel coronavirus.

The colleges were shut down with COVID spread in March end. The university issued a circular recently asking colleges to take all care of students health while conducting classes.

In the circular, it was stated that students' attendance should be made compulsory and only 50 per cent of students should be called for the classes.

"Aurangabad, Jalna, Beed and Osmanabad districts fall within the jurisdiction of Bamu. The colleges need to permission from respective district collector, Municipal Corporation or Council before restarting classes from next week," it was stated in the circular.
