Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The administration of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) has decided to grant an extension until May 20 to the contractual assistant professors working on consolidated pay in the academic departments of the main campus and sub-campuses.
The recruitment process for 73 teaching posts at the university was postponed twice. As a result, the teachers had previously been granted an extension for the second semester of the academic year 2025-26.
However, since examination-related work in many departments is still pending, the heads of departments had again submitted proposals for a further extension.
Currently, the faculty recruitment process is underway. Against this backdrop, on the orders of Vice-Chancellor Dr Vijay Fulari, approval was granted to allow the contractual assistant professors to continue their services until May 20.
Additionally, Registrar Dr Prashant Amrutkar has issued instructions through a circular to all heads of departments, directing them to carry out strict planning to ensure that all examination-related work is completed within this period.
