‘Cycles for Heritage’ draws good response

Aurangabad, Nov 8:

Smart City Development Corporation Limited, Cyclists Association and different Voluntary Organisations jointly took out ‘Cycles for Heritage’ a cycle rally, on Sunday morning. The rally was organised from Delhi Gate and Bibi-ka-Maqbara via Rangeen Gate, Bhadkal Gate, Panchakki.

Office-bearers and members Gate Going, Aurangabad Cyclist Club, Aurangabad District Cycle Association, Urban Research Collaborative, Aurangabad Connect, Aurangabad Musafir, History Society of Aurangabad and Amazing Aurangabad participated in the rally.

Its objective was to create awareness among cycling and preservation of historical legacy. Uma Mahajan of Gate Going guided to those who were present. Office-bearers of History Society gave information about historical monuments.

It drew a good response. Various activities were organised in the city under ‘Cycles for Change’ initiative during the last two months. The participants were informed that a five km long cycle track and 3,5 km cycle friendly zone would be created in the city in the coming days.
