Aurangabad, July 22:

The office-bearers of Santpith Pathpurava Samiti (Persuasion Committee) Dyanprakash Modani and Omprakash Verma have welcomed the starting of Santpith at Paithan from September. " We welcome the development, but it should have been a Vidyapith as per Balasaheb Bharde Samiti's recommendations in the original development plan," pointed out Modani and Verma while addressing a press conference today.

Modani said, " The decision of establishing Santpith was made during the regime of the then chief minister A R Antulay. The concept is autonomous and cultural, not an education. The development plan has been prepared with an intention that the establishment of Santpith is done through the government's cultural department."

Through Vidyapith, the people serving humanity should be produced through the study of saints literature, comparative study of the world's all religions, kirtankar, and pravachankar training. In the original plan, it is mentioned that the establishment of autonomous Santpith is the need of the hour, he said.
