Aurangabad, June 28:

The guardian minister Subhash Desai today has directed the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) administration to launch the recruitment process soon. The AMC is facing severe inconvenience in fulfilling its daily tasks due to the absence of adequate manpower. The civic body needs adequate manpower to impart quality service and to work on various development works. Hence after reviewing the situation he gave the above order.

Desai also instructed them to complete the commencement process of the garbage processing plant at Harsul by December-end.

The minister took the meeting to review the status of various development works of AMC at the district collectorate. He instructed to increase the water supply of the city, maintain solid waste management effectively through the disposal of garbage through processing plants at Chikalthana, Padegaon, and Kanchanwadi. He also told the AMC officials to complete the process of the Harsul plant by end of the December.

Desai also instructed the three corporations - AMC, MIDC and MSRDC - to complete the construction of Rs 152 crore roads within the deadline. The guardian minister also recommended on implementation of 100 pc vaccination in the city.

The minister also presented appointed letters to 10 personnel, out of 44, appointed as per Laad-Page Committee recommendation, on the occasion.
