Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

Devotees were captivated by a series of soulful bhajans such as “Maa Ki Chunariya Laal, Dulaari Lage” and “Chalo Bulawa Aaya Hai, Mata Ne Bulaya Hai”. The occasion was a ‘Mata Ki Chowki’ programme organised by the Punjabi Cultural Association.

The evening began in a devotional atmosphere at Manor Lawn. An idol of Goddess Durga (Sherawali Mata) was placed at the centre of the stage, with idols of Lord Hanuman on the right and Lord Ganesha on the left. The programme commenced with the ceremonial lamp lighting, followed by offering a chunari to the goddess and floral decorations, after which the devotional singing began.

Singer Vinay Sharma from Mumbai enthralled the audience with a variety of devotional songs. The rhythmic chants and the faith reflected in every verse created a spiritually uplifting atmosphere. Each devotee visiting for darshan was tied a sacred thread. The programme concluded with the Maha-aarti, followed by the distribution of prasad.
