Aurangabad, Oct 25:

Owing to the Corona crisis this year, Dhamma Chakra Pravartan Din was celebrated in a simple manner. The Bhikhu Sangha had appealed the people not to gather at the Aurangabad Caves (Buddha Leni) for paying obeisance to Lord Buddha and Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar on Sunday. However, Mangalsutta Pathan, Dhyan, Mangal Maitri, Dhamma Flag hoisting events were conducted by the Bhikhu Sangha here since 5 am. CP, Dr Nikhil Gupta paid obeisance to Lord Buddha, and Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar at 11 am. Bhante Dr Chandrabodhi, Bhante Nagsen, Bhante Upali, Daulatrao More, Mahendra Dengle and others were present.

A song penned by Chandrabodhi was released by Gangadhar Gade and Suryakanta Gade. Renowned singer, Pratapsingh Bodade sung the song.

The event was celebrated at TV Centre by Dhammaratna Mitra Mandal in the presence of Bhante Karunanand Bodhi. The programme began with Trisaran – Panchasheel. Bhante delivered discourse on the occasion and the programme was conclude by singing Dhammapalan Gatha. Dilip Ragade, Prakash Sonawane, Padit Tupe, Eknath Pakhre, Milind Dabhade and others were present.

Meanwhile, drop Roball Association distributed educational kits to deaf and dumb students to mark the occasion. Dhupchand Rathod, Dr Ashok Pawar, Dr Muralidhar Rathdo, Dr Rani Pawar and others were present.
