District Collector reviews preparations for vote counting

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Voting for the Zilla Parishad (ZP) and Panchayat Samiti (PS) elections was held on Saturday. The counting of votes will take place on February 9.

District Collector Deelip Swami on Sunday reviewed the preparations for this vote counting. He interacted with all the systems online.

District Collector, along with Deputy Collector Sangeeta Rathod and Tehsildar Dinesh Zhample, as well as all the election officers and police officers, participated in this meeting from the district headquarters.

Information regarding police security and preparations for vote counting at all nine counting centres in the district was provided during the meeting.

Deelip Swami himself visited the vote-counting centre in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and inspected the preparations for the counting of votes, and also guided the counting staff and officers.

In the review meeting, he said that all arrangements at the vote-counting centres should be impeccable. Special care should be taken to ensure that no unauthorised person enters the counting centre.

Superintendent of Police Dr Vinay Kumar Rathod gave instructions to the police personnel and officers regarding security arrangements. There should be strict security outside every counting centre.

He also gave instructions regarding the routes for the arrival and departure of counting representatives and staff, and the security arrangements along those routes.

Provide information to the media on time

Proper arrangements should be made for media representatives. The election officers should facilitate the provision of timely information to them. The statistics should be accurate and all vote-counting reports should be uploaded on time.
