Aurangabad, March 1:

The health teams deployed by the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) today have conducted antigen tests upon 401 visitors at the five government offices and detected eight Covid-19 positive patients on the spot. The infected patients are admitted to the nearest Covid Care Centres (CCC) for treatment.

The health teams detected five patients at the Regional Transport Office (RTO), two at the divisional commissionerate and one at Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) headquarter.

It may be noted that the health teams under the supervision of the municipal officer of health (MoH), Dr Neeta Padalkar, were deployed to conduct antigen tests of visitors at the government offices, which are visited by a large number of citizens daily. The teams performed 29 antigen tests at AMC and detected one person as Coronavirus infected; 53 antigen tests at the police commissionerate (no infected person found); 102 antigen tests at the district collectorate (no infected person found); 125 antigen tests at the divisional commissionerate and detected two Covid-19 positives and 92 antigen tests and found five Covid-19 patients.

According to AMC's health officials, the Covid-19 patients detected during today's test had been admitted to the nearest CCC for treatment.
