Aurangabad, Jan 25: Bharatanatyam dancer Manali Sudhalkar enthralled the dance connoisseurs during a two-hour performance as part of her Arangetram, recently.
Marathi poems and Abhangs were also a part of the performance.
Head of the department of dramatics and dance, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University Dr Jayant Shewtekar, MP B B Patil, former MLA Ishwarrao Bhosikar, Mahesh Sudhalkar and Sharmila Sudhalkar were present. Dance Guru V Soumyashri, Rajyalaxmi Seth and Vaibhav Aarekar directed the performance.
Manali began her performance with Ganesh Stuti in Raag Wegwahini. Later, she presented Ranganjali and Shiva Stuti. Shabdam, Varnam and classic folk dance Kurathi were the main attractions. Kirtanam in Raag Lalat and Bhajan in Raag Bhimpalas and Tillana made this performance complete.
Shriram Subramanyam on Mrudangam, Satish Sardesai on violin, Nandkumar on flute, K Pancham Upadhyay on Ghatak and Shiva Prasad on vocal accompanied her.
