Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: A fire broke out at the canteen of the Divisional Commissioner's Office in the Delhi Gate area at around 4 PM on Tuesday due to a short circuit.

Canteen equipment worth lakhs of rupees was destroyed in the fire.

Fortunately, no one was injured. The fire was brought under control by the fire brigade personnel. Ramsingh Pawar has run the canteen at the Commissionerate for the past three months.

A sudden short circuit triggered the fire in the canteen in the afternoon. According to Pawar, two refrigerators, electric wiring, a gas stove, tables, chairs, and other items were burnt in the fire. The fire brigade personnel disconnected the gas cylinder from the regulator and brought the fire under control.
