Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

The city witnessed yet another alarming incident on Thursday night, intensifying concerns over law and order after a series of violent crimes in the past 72 hours.

According to preliminary information, a heated clash broke out between two groups around 9.30 pm in the busy Hanuman Chowk, N-4, Cidco area. The argument reportedly escalated when a youth allegedly pulled out a firearm and fired two rounds into the air in the middle of the road. No injuries were reported, but panic gripped onlookers and nearby residents. This marks the third major incident in as many days. Earlier, a life-threatening knife attack was reported near API Corner. On Wednesday night, a lawyer was brutally murdered in the Beed Bypass area. Within 24 hours of that incident, the firing at Hanuman Chowk has further unsettled citizens. The back-to-back crimes have raised serious questions about public safety in the city. Residents are now demanding stricter enforcement and decisive action against offenders, as fear continues to mount across Sambhajinagar.
