Fresh LPG connections suspended across city amid supply disruptions

As uncertainty persists over the ongoing tensions involving Iran, US and Israel the supply of domestic LPG cylinders has been affected in several parts of the city. Gas agencies have reportedly put new LPG connections on hold, citing irregular supply and logistical constraints.

According to sources, new gas connections have been suspended for nearly two months in some localities and are expected to remain on hold until June 2. In many other areas, agencies have indicated that fresh connections may not resume before May 5. Areas witnessing delays include TV Centre, N-6, N-12, N-7, Osmanpura and Beed Bypass. Residents seeking new connections have been asked to wait until supply stabilises. However, officials from local gas agencies clarified that existing consumers are being supplied cylinders as per availability and priority norms. Authorities are monitoring the situation and have assured that services will normalise once supply chains improve.
