Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar
A notorious criminal made an attempt to murder his friend by repeatedly stabbing him with a knife on a public road over an old dispute. The incident took place on Monday morning in Sansarnagar, right in front of Kranti Chowk Police Station. Police initially believe the attack was carried out in revenge for a brawl that had taken place three days earlier.
The suspected attacker has been identified as Sunil alias Munna Wakde (33, Satara area). His victim, Ravi Nathbhajan (33, Kokanwadi), was seriously injured in the attack. Ravi works as a labourer at an apartment in Devgiri Colony. Three days before the incident, the two had engaged in a fierce physical fight. To take revenge, Sunil tracked Ravi down at his workplace on Monday morning at 9 am. An argument broke out between them again. Ravi tried to pacify Sunil, but Sunil instantly pulled out a knife and repeatedly stabbed him on the neck. As Ravi collapsed in a pool of blood, Sunil fled the scene with the knife. Sunil Wakde is a habitual offender with multiple serious cases registered against him, including assault, battery, and robbery. Kranti Chowk police station inspector Sunil Mane confirmed that Sunil has been arrested.
