Aurangabad, March 31:

The state government has already given administrative approval for funds of Rs 47.33 crore for the construction of a new Zilla Parishad (ZP) administrative building. The ZP also received a fund of Rs 4.73 crore in the first phase. With the technical approval given by the chief engineer of the Public Works Department (PWD), the tender process is likely to start in the next 3 to 4 days, according to the works department of ZP.

ZP chief executive officer Dr Mangesh Gondawale had proposed the construction of 10,838 square meters worth Rs 48.83 crore. Of this, the budget of Rs 47.33 crore was given administrative approval by the state government. The proposed building will implement the concept of green building and will require the use of natural lighting, ventilation, water and energy conservation, rainwater harvesting and environmentally friendly construction materials. The concept was tested before technical approval was given. The proposed relocation process was nearing completion. It is planned to construct this building behind the main building of ZP. For this, education, health and social welfare departments were also shifted. The relocation of agriculture, animal husbandry and panchayat departments is likely to take place in the residence of the officers behind the District Rural Development Agency. The works department is in the process of getting permission from the local town planning department and fire brigade said executive engineer A Z Qazi.
