Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Metropolitan Region Development Authority (CSMRDA) has undertaken a project to analyse the physical, social, and economic infrastructure of villages within the metropolitan area using GIS (Geographic Information System) technology. The work involves preparing current-status maps and reports based on defined standards.
The project report was presented at the office of Metropolitan Commissioner and Divisional Commissioner Jitendra Papalkar. CSMRDA Planner Harshal Baviskar, officers and employees were present.
Consulting firm P N Sidhore Civil Engineers (India) Private Limited has been appointed for the project.
In the first phase, a pilot study was conducted covering five villages: Sahajapur, Balapur, Shendra Jahangir, Kagzipura and Pharola and the report was submitted to the Authority.
The remaining 306 villages within the Authority's jurisdiction will be surveyed in the next phase.
Representatives of the consulting firm will collect necessary data from various government and semi-government offices and establishments, and site visits with photography will be carried out wherever required.
The Commissioner has appealed to all concerned government offices, establishments, officers, and staff to provide the required information promptly, and has urged citizens to respond positively and cooperate with the survey.
