Gopinath Munde''s dream may come true with election of Boralkar: Fadnavis

Aurangabad, Nov 23:

Former chief minister and leader of opposition in the legislative assembly, Devendra Fadnavis said, " The present government in power has not continued a single scheme launched by our government in the state. The work of Samruddhi Mahamarg continues as it is named after Balasaheb Thackeray. The government has shut down the statutory development board meant for the development of the backward region. A conspiracy is hatched to keep the backward areas as it is, and the Congress, NCP and Shiv Sena MLAs are not ready to speak on it."

Fadnavis was addressing a convention of booth activists organised at Tapadia Natyamandir, as a part of BJP candidate Shirish Boralkar campaigning, who is contesting Marathwada Graduates'' Constituency election, today.

" In 2014, late Gopinath Munde recommended Shirish Boralkar for the said election, and I was the state president. Accordingly, the party also finalised Boralkar''s name. Unfortunately, he left us after the incident. Boralkar would have been elected way back in 2014 if Munde had been alive. Presently, the public is waiting to give a ''shock'' to the functioning of the sitting government. Hence, do not miss the opportunity, as it would change the political scenario and fulfil the dream of Gopinath Munde," appealed Fadnavis.

He pointed out that our government had launched many such projects including DMIC in Aurangabad, Water Grid - to get rid of drought in Marathwada, Water Supply Scheme of Rs 1680 crore - to resolve the water problem of Aurangabad etc. However, the sitting government seems to have pushed them into a coma, he alleged.

Former minister and national secretary Pankaja Munde said, " I am late Gopinath Munde''s daughter. He had taught us whether you remain in power or not, never forget to wipe the tears of the poor people. Dishonesty does not pass in my veins." Pankaja suggested the booth activists not to fall prey to rumours or distraction, but to the given booth. " Focus on, ''Aapla Booth...Vijayi Booth'', she also commented saying now we will have to address MP Dr Bhagwat Karad.

BJP''s district president Vijay Autade and city president Sanjay Kenekar presented their reports. MLA Haribhau Bagade, MP Bhagwat Karad, MLA Atul Save, Vijaya Rahatkar, Bapu Ghadamode and Shirish Boralkar spoke on occasion. Sameer Rajurkar conducted the proceedings. Former minister Namdeo Gadekar, Pravin Ghughe, Vikram Patil and many other female office-bearers were also present on the dais.
