A fire broke out in Sanjaynagar, Mukundwadi, reducing a grocery store to ashes on Friday evening around 7 pm.
No casualties were reported, but the store’s refrigerator, small flour mill, and all other goods were completely destroyed. Sakunabai Ashok Jagtap owns Abhijit Kirana Stores in Sanjaynagar. On Friday, she and her family had gone for a religious event when smoke started emerging from the shop. Upon receiving the information, fire officers Sominath Bhosale, Aniket Landge and others rushed to the scene and began dousing the flames. During the operation, they learned that two gas cylinders were inside Jagtap’s house. Before the fire could reach them, the firefighters bravely entered the smoke-filled house and removed both cylinders. Their timely action prevented the fire from spreading to nearby houses, ensuring the safety of Jagtap’s home and the surrounding area.
