Aurangabad, Feb 22:

The administration is adopting several measures to restrict the spread of Corona infection now. It has increased the testing of the residents while the swab samples taken of those residents will have to remain home quarantine for 25 hours until their reports are received. Similarly, a stamp of home quarantine will be printed on their hands.

Until now, 2.5 lakh antigen tests and 1.5 lakh RTPCR tests of the residents have been taken, informed the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) medical officer Dr Neeta Padalkar.

Speaking about the preparation made by the corporation to avert the spread of Corona, Dr Padalkar said, the Covid Care Centres (CCC) at Killeark and MGM Sports Complex have been started again. Similarly, the places of the CCC, which have been returned will be issued letters soon. There are around 300 health employees still with the corporation. It also has 39,000 antigen test kits and 11,000 RTPCR kits. More kits will be demanded to the government as per the requirement. A decision has been taken not to allow more than 50 persons in public functions. Similarly, there 50 Remdesivir injections available with the AMC while 1000 injections have been demanded from the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
