Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: As the polling day approaches, hospitals in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, including GMCH, District Civil hospital and various private institutions, have taken a proactive step to ensure that patients admitted for medical treatment have the opportunity to vote.
Recognizing the significance of civic participation, hospitals have made arrangements to facilitate voting for patients in stable health conditions.
Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) dean, Dr Shivaji Sukre, stated that ambulances and other vehicles will be provided to transport patients to polling stations, if their health status is stable and they express willingness to vote. The decision will be made based on the nature of each patient's condition, ensuring their comfort and safety.
If allowed by the doctor
The polling day is near. However, I am admitted to the GMCH due to cesarean delivery. If the doctor gives permission, I can come back to the hospital after voting.
