Aurangabad, June 4:
A man murdering his wife with an axe at Girsavli in Phulambri district, two days back, committed suicide by hanging himself near the mountains of the village on Friday. Both met their ends over domestic disputes between them. The deceased husband Dnyaneshwar Gadekar (52) had a dispute with his wife Vimalbai Gadekar and they always used to quarrel. He worked in Aurangabad city and had come to his village due to lockdown. On Wednesday, they had a severe quarrel and Dnyaneshwar hit Vimalbai with axe and fled away. A case was registered at the Phulambri police station on the complaint lodged by his son. On Friday, the police when searching him found him hanging to a tree near the mountains of the village. PI Ashok Mudiraj, PSI Raghuvir Mrade and others went to the spot and conducted a panchnama.
Meanwhile, Dnyaneshwar’s relatives and son refused to take the body and perform the last rites. Hence, the villages of the Girsavli villages took initiative and conducted the last rites on him.
