Jaipur MIDC not Investment-ready; Potholes from soil theft a concern

Due to the lack of Auric-like infrastructure and large potholes created by soil theft, investors are returning after visiting Jaipur MIDC in the Shendra and Bidkin areas of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC). MIDC CEO P. Velasaru has directed local authorities to immediately fill these pits.

Over the past two years, EV companies like Toyota-Kirloskar Motors, JSW, and Ather Energy have set up in Auric City’s Bidkin industrial estate, attracting several small and medium businesses. With Auric’s industrial plots now exhausted, the Chief Minister had announced the development of 8,000 acres of new industrial land last year. While plots in Jaipur MIDC are available for sale, essential facilities such as optical fiber for high-speed internet, water supply, STP projects, drainage, CCTV, and power distribution have not yet been provided. The hilly and uneven terrain, combined with potholes from soil theft, is discouraging investors. MIDC CEO P. Velasaru, during an Auric Shendra expo visit, observed the pits at Jaipur MIDC and instructed authorities to fill them immediately, sources said.
