Jhulelal Sai Birth Anniversary Procession Draws Attention

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

Amid chants of “Sindhi Baba, glory to you,” a grand procession marked Jhulelal Sai’s birth anniversary on Saturday evening, with enthusiastic participation from the Sindhi community.

Celebrations began with pooja at Varun Dev Jalashram, Shahaganj. Community president Kishanchand Tanwani carried a silver idol, placed in a decorated chariot, where a child dressed as Jhulelal Sai drew attention. Devotees danced to bhajans, while tableaux featuring Lord Ram, Lakshman, Sita, Hanuman, and children dressed as deities and saints captivated the crowd. Chants of “Aayo Lal Jhulelal” echoed as dignitaries including mayor Sameer Rajurkar, Anil Makariye, Nandkumar Ghodele, and former MP Chandrakant Khaire joined. The procession moved via Rajabazar and Mondha Naka, concluding at Sant Kanwarram Dham. A morning procession from Sindhi Bhavan ended at the same venue with aarti, followed by a noon vehicle rally covering major city routes before concluding. Organisers played a key role in the event’s success.
