Kavi Sammelan held in Bamu

Chhatrapati Sambhjinagar: Kavi Sammelan, was organised at the Department of Marathi of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) on Thursday as part of Marathi Bhasha Gaurav Din.

A total of 20 young poets presented their poems in the programme. They received a strong appreciation from the audience. Registrar Dr Prashant Amritkar inaugurated the programme while the head of the Department Dr Dasu Vaidya and Coordinator Dr Kailas Ambhure were present. Dr Vaidya presented the role behind the organisation in the introduction. Dr Parag Hase conducted the proceedings of the programme while Hanumant Giri proposed a vote of thanks. Dr Rameshwar Charankar, Dr Walmik Waghmare and others made efforts for the success of the programme.

Poetry comes pain: Dr Amritkar

“A story takes shape from any suffering while a poem from any pain. Along with the poem, the reason or cause behind its creation is equally important,” said Dr Prashant Amritkar, Registrar in his inaugural speech.
