Lecture series in memory of Dr Morwanchikar

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar chapter of the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (Intach) is organising the ‘Dr Morwanchikar Memorial Lecture Series’ in memory of the noted historian Dr R S Morwanchikar. The inaugural lecture will be delivered on February 1 (Sunday) evening at the Govindbhai Shroff Art Academy, in the presence of Dr Tejas Garge, State’s Director (Archaeology and Museums).

Garge will speak on the topic ‘The Forts of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj: The Journey towards World Heritage Nomination’. The programme will also be attended by noted numismatist Dr Ashok Singh Thakur and Intach state convenor Mukund Bhogle.

Intach local convenor Maya Vaidya and co-convenor Adv Swapnil Joshi have appealed to the heritage enthusiasts, heritage-lovers and citizens to attend the programme in large numbers.
