A lightning strike on a transformer in Bhujbalnagar in Nandanvan Colony area on Sunday afternoon damaged some household electrical appliances. The residents got terrified with the loud sound. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the incident. A panchanama was conducted as per the instructions of additional Tehsildar Kishor Deshmukh.

Giving more information Deshmukh said that a transformer was hit by lightning at Nandanvan Colony, Garmati between 1.30 pm and 2 pm on Sunday. This damaged the electrical equipment in some of the houses. It includes electric meter, fuse, fan, and television. No one was killed or injured in the incident. A panchanama was conducted by Bhavsinghpura circle officer and Talathi. Rizwan Khan, Sheikh Naeem, Pradip Bhujbal, Simon Patole, Sarita Bhople, Mohammad Ali, Sheikh Latif were present.
