Aurangabad, Dec 13:

The 45th annual Lions Club free plastic surgery camp organized in the memory of Dr Sharadkumar Dixit at Lions Eye Hospital began on Saturday. Dr Ujwala Dahiphale examined 57 patients. Dr Raj Lala from America and Dr Amit Bassanwar from Kolhapur attended it through video conferencing. This year the camp has been organized in a limited scope. Out of the total examined patients, surgeries will be conducted on 35 selected patients at Dahiphale Hospital between December 14 and 30.

The Aurangabad Druggist and Chemist Association will provide medicines for the patients during the camp. Lions Club president Sanjeev Gupta, secretary Vinod Chaudhary, former president Rajesh Bharuka, G M Bothra, Prakash Gothi, Rajesh Lahurikar, Gajajnana Zalwar and others took efforts for the success of the camp. The Lions members participated in the inauguration through video conferencing. Lions Hospital staff Pritesh Sonar, Sudhakar Pawar and others took efforts for the success of the programme. Aurangabad Industrial Contractor Association donated automatic sanitizer machine to Lions Eye Hospital. President Maruti Phulari, Gajanan Deshmukh, Anil Nyayadhish, Pravin Amrutkar and others were present.
