An alleged obscene clip of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) corporator Mateen Patel resurfaced on a social media platform for allegedly giving shelter to Nashik TCS case accused Nida Khan at his residence in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
In a viral MMS allegedly claiming to be Mateen Patel on a video call with a woman stripping her clothes. This comes after Patel's name surfaced in a high-profile case of alleged religious conversion and sexual exploitation in a unit of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in Nashik, in which the main accused, Nida Khan, was arrested from a house allegedly linked to the corporator.
In an alleged viral clip of 1.53 seconds, the man, who claimed to be Mateen Patel, asks the woman, whose identity and face are blurred, to remove her clothes. Further in the video, he asked the woman to sit on the chair and remove the remaining clothes. The woman is then seen allegedly following his instructions.
The group that shared the clip has demanded strict action against Patel. Allegations have also been made that the woman was emotionally manipulated and trapped.
However, LokmatTimes.com has not verified the authenticity of the alleged obscene video and has not claimed any identity in the viral video.
According to Bhaskar English, a controversial video was circulated from the Facebook page ‘Sakal Hindu Samaj Mumbai’.
Meanwhile, Mateen Patel on January 13 posted a video on his official Facebook profile in which he blamed the opposition for the obscene video of him and said an AI-generated or deepfake video was made to spoil his character. He said he has filed a complaint about the alleged AI-generated MMS video and the Police Commissioner of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar had assured him about the action on the matter.

Demolition Notice to Mateen Patel
AIMIM corporator from Naregaon Ward No. 9 has been arrested for allegedly providing shelter to the accused Nida Khan at his residence. Following the arrest, the municipal corporation has launched an investigation into Patel’s properties and has so far issued notices regarding alleged unauthorised construction at three locations.
Officials said no ownership documents were submitted to the civic body on Monday. The administration has now begun verifying in whose name the properties are registered. The notices are set to expire on Tuesday, after which further action may be taken.
During the municipal elections, Patel had submitted an affidavit along with his nomination papers, mentioning his address as Plot No. 2, Group No. 5, Near Dargah Masjid, Bismilla Colony, Naregaon. However, it is still unclear in whose name the property is registered.
Questions have also been raised about the ownership of the house where Nida Khan was allegedly hiding. Municipal sources claimed Patel was in possession of the property, though no official transaction had reportedly been carried out on stamp paper. Authorities are also examining the ownership of the land on which Patel’s office is located.
Officials said Patel has not responded to any of the three notices issued by the municipal corporation. As a result, the administration has made a preliminary assessment that the properties may be unauthorised. Patel, who has studied up to Class VII, had also not mentioned these properties in his election affidavit.
Mayor Sameer Rajurkar said action can be initiated against a public representative if unauthorised construction is found within the city limits.
“The administration is taking action in the Matin Patel case. What is true and what is false will be examined by the administration. Notices have been issued as per legal provisions. If there is no response, further action will be taken,” Rajurkar said.
