MLC Satish Chavan demands to announce date of SET

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: MLC Satish Chavan demanded that the date of the State Eligibility Test (SET) should be announced immediately.

In this regard, MLC Satish Chavan met Higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil at the Mantralaya on Tuesday. He brought to the Minister's attention that the SET examination, required for Assistant Professor posts in various colleges across the State, is typically held in the month of June every year. However, even though the month of May 2026 has begun, no announcement has been made regarding the examination.

MLC Chavan pointed out that countless candidates across the State who are preparing for this examination are experiencing an atmosphere of discontent and confusion, and that it is extremely necessary for this examination to be held on time. He firmly demanded that the SET be organised at the earliest and that an official notification be issued regarding the same.
