A special meeting was held at the Marathwada Association of Small-Scale Industries and Agriculture (MASSIA) office in Chikalthana under the chairmanship of Dr. Avinash Dhakane, Member Secretary, Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB), Mumbai. The meeting focused on challenges faced by industries in Chikalthana, Shendra and Waluj and was attended by industry leaders and MPCB officials.

Dr. Dhakane addressed concerns related to compliance norms set by the National Green Tribunal (NGT) and the High Court. He assured that the permit approval process would be simplified and completed within 60 days. He also encouraged industries to adopt circular economy models to convert waste into wealth. Emphasizing a business-friendly approach, he assured that all MPCB procedures are now online to reduce bureaucratic delays. Entrepreneurs were urged to update their contact details for receiving MPCB notifications. The meeting saw participation from MASIA President Chetan Raut, MPCB Regional Officer Manish Holkar, and several industrial representatives. Around 60 entrepreneurs attended the session. Dr. Dhakane also invited industrialists to reach out to him via email for any concerns.
