Aurangabad, Oct 12:

The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) seems to have geared up in sanctioning new power supply connections. The power entity had sanctioned 54,214 power supply connections (of various types) in the jurisdiction of Aurangabad, Latur and Nanded Zone, in the past six months.

Dr Naresh Gite conducted a review meeting with the officials of different zones in Marathwada through video conferencing and directed them to approve the applications seeking new power supply connections.

Later on, Gite instructed the officials to immediately connect power supply to the consumers where there is no need for erecting new infrastructure. He also advised taking quick action upon the applications of new power supply connections.

The zone-wise details of power supply connections approved and linked include Aurangabad Zone - 18,333; Latur Zone - 18,463 and Nanded Zone - 17,418.
