Aurangabad, Nov 30:

Elections in Marathwada Graduates Constituency will be held on December 1.

As many as 1.06 lakh (74,959 males and 31,415 females, five transgender) voters will exercise their franchise at 206 booths in the districts between 8 am to 5 pm.

The highest number of booths (117) is in the city while the lowest are in Khuldabad and Soyegaon (five each). The tehsil-wise booths are as follows; Sillod (15), Kannad (14), Phulambri (six), Paithan (15), Gangapur (14) and Vaijapur (15).

Around 306 vans were made available for these booths. A total of 181 postal ballots were cast in the districts. The awareness about COVID measures, how to vote in the preferential system, was carried out.

The tehsil-wise health officers and employees were made available taking into the pandemic virus. In the district, around 104 officers and 206 employees were deployed while 99 heath officers and 80 ambulances were also made available at District COVID Centres, District COVID Hospital and COVID Care Centres.
