Vice-chancellor of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University Dr Pramod Yeole said that the name extension day is a milestone in the university’s history.
He was speaking on the eve of 27th name extension day celebration of Bamu.
Dr Pramod Yeole said that efforts were being to have a new identity of the university in the era of globalisation.
Different programmes will be held in the campus on the name extension day on January 14.
“ Both the days- August 23, 1958, and January 14, 1994- will be written in golden words in the history of Bamu,” he added.
