'National Crime Scene Investigation' contest held at MGM

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The Department of Forensic Science of MGM University and the Government Institute of Forensic Science jointly hosted ‘CSI 2.0 National Crime Scene Investigation competition and workshop at Rukhmini Auditorium of the university on Wednesday.

Chancellor Ankushrao Kadam, Vice-Chancellor Dr Vilas Sapkal, Director Dr Annasaheb Khemnar, Dr Rajesh Kumar, Dr D D Gaikwad and Dr Moin Siddiqui were present at the inaugural ceremony.

VC Dr Vilas Sapkal said that the national competition is a multidisciplinary programme, through which, students would be able to learn many things. He also said that students would be provided with new and updated information regarding the subject of forensic science.

Technical seminars were held on ‘Graphology and Criminal Profiling: What Handwriting Says at a Crime Scene?, Genome Editing Techniques and Biosecurity, Latest Instruments in Crime Scene Investigation, Audio Forensic Technology, Medicolegal Aspects of Death Scene Investigation’ today. Nearly 300 students from across the country participated in this workshop.
