Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:
An IndiGo flight from Navi Mumbai to Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar was forced to return to Navi Mumbai on Wednesday night due to severe weather conditions. Although the flight entered the city’s airspace as scheduled, strong winds and heavy rain prevented it from landing. Even after circling over the district’s skies for nearly 45 minutes, the pilots were not granted clearance to land, forcing the flight to head back to Navi Mumbai.
The flight departed Navi Mumbai at 7.37 pm and reached Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar around 8.25 pm. At that time, heavy rain and strong winds were occurring, and landing clearance was denied. The aircraft circled over areas near Ladsawangi and Naigavhan for about three rounds before heading toward Sillod. After roughly 45 minutes of waiting and with weather conditions remaining unsafe, the pilots decided to return to Navi Mumbai. The flight is planned to return to Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar later at night after refueling.

The incident caused concern among passengers on board. Those travelling from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar to Navi Mumbai also experienced delays, waiting at the airport late into the night.
Rajasthan Governor on Board
Airport sources confirmed that the flight from Navi Mumbai was carrying Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Bagade among its passengers.
