Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:
Under Operation Nanhe Farishte, an initiative aimed at safely reuniting missing or unaccompanied minor children found at railway stations with their families, another example of alertness was witnessed. A 16-year-old girl was safely handed over to her mother on Tuesday.
The girl was found sitting alone in the women’s waiting room at the railway station. Woman constable Chhoti Puniya and head constable Pankaj Dighole from the Railway Police Station took her to the station for further inquiry. During questioning, after the girl revealed her identity, the police immediately contacted her mother over the phone. Shortly thereafter, her mother arrived at the station. After proper verification and completion of necessary legal formalities, the girl was handed over to her.
The family expressed heartfelt gratitude to the railway administration and the GRP police for safely reuniting them with their daughter. This incident once again highlights the alertness and sensitivity of the railway authorities and police under Operation Nanhe Farishte.
