Aurangabad, June 8:

Teachers of Bhagwan Paramedical Junior College have threatened to stage fast unto death if they are not merged until June 15. The teachers were declared surplus in 2018 and their salary was withheld since December 2018.

In a memorandum submitted to the joint director of Vocational Education and Training (Aurangabad region), the teachers stated that they have been working as permanent employees in the college for the past 22 years.

“We are facing a financial crisis for the past two and half years as our salary was not released. It has become very difficult to run our families. We have submitted a memorandum time and again with the Directorate of Vocational Education and Training Directorate. But, nothing was done. This has forced us to take the decision of fast unto death agitation from June 15,” the teachers stated in the memorandum.

The names of the teachers are Shaikh Tasleem Ahmed, Siddiqui Atik Ahmed and Khan Mustafa, who have signed the memorandum.
