‘Park’ play based on land dispute staged in Bamu
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: ‘Park’ a play based on land dispute was staged by the students of the Department of Performing Arts of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University in the 49th Drama Festival recently.
The artists had an impressive performance in the play that was written by Manav Kaul and directed by Sachin Tayde, a student of the department. This play sheds light on the controversy that has arisen over land, from the village level to the national level and from the national level to the international level.
In the end, the land for which there is a fight remains empty ultimately. Today, for the things we are fighting, we do not hesitate to take each other's lives. The idea that we will not take any of them with us in the end is presented in the play.
Saurabh Mandavkar, Akash Gunjal, Rohan Gahire, Kunal Tayde and Harshada Mangalgi played different roles in this play. Nilesh Mali handles lighting while music composition is done by Laxman Kale. Pratiksha Kolekar and Lavanya Gaikwad have done costume design and makeup for artists.
