Aurangabad, June 19: Women customers get 1% discount in stamp duty if a house is bought in their name. People are taking advantage of this golden opportunity and doing registry in women’s name. In general, men get first preference and property and houses are registered in their name. State government declared 1% discount in stamp duty for woman customers on the occasion of the World Women’s Day i.e. March 8, 2021. It’s a big gift to all women. This rule has been implemented since April 1. Builders and women welcomed this decision of the state government and expressed gratitude. This facility has been implemented under Rajmata Jijau Gruhswamini Scheme. The stamp duty discount offered to all against the background of the corona has been closed from April 1. The state government has now started 1% discount for women only. The stamp duty of 7% in the city, has been brought down to 6% for women only. Therefore, percentage of women buying houses increased a lot and construction industry is benefitting. Builders have appealed to all to avail the benefit of this golden opportunity.
