Aurangabad, Dec 14:

Eleven persons were arrested red handed at an illegal gambling den at Sanjaynagar Baijipura on Monday night by the Jinsi police. Items and cash worth Rs 1.12 lakh was confiscated from their possession.

PSI Dutta Shelke of Jinsi police received a tip off about a gambling den in Sanjaynagar. Shekle along with constables Nandlal Chavan and Santosh Bamnawat raided the gambling den at around 9 pm on Monday. The accused Asif Khan Iqbal Khan (31, Shahabazar), Manoj Kishore Ingle (38, Indiranagar Baijipura), Mohammad Salim Mohammad Shafi (51, Indiranagar), Sheikh Isaaq Abdul Kadar (40, Sanjaynagar) Syed Pasha Syed Yusuf (35, Kiradpura), Khalil Khan Hafiz Khan (29, Nizamganj Colony), Akram Khan Jummakhan (42, Indiranagar), Sheikh Khadir Khan Bhikan (46, Sanjaynagar), Arshad Khan Ayub Khan (29, Bhoiwada, Shahabazar) and Afsar Khan Anwar Khan (39, Nizamganj Colony) were found playing 'Tirrat.” Police seized a total of items and cash worth Rs 1.12 lakh. A case was registered in the Jinsi police station on a complaint lodged by head constable K Gawande.
