PWD-MSEDCL relocates electricity poles obstructing to traffic on Beed Bypass Road

Aurangabad, Oct 28:

The Public Works Department (PWD) in association with Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has undertaken the task of relocating electricity poles, which were posing a threat to traffic on Beed Bypass road. However, the question is why it has launched the mission in a hurry. The poles were obstructing the traffic on the 13-km long stretch from Mahanubhav Ashram Chowk to Gandheli Balapur.

The PWD completed the tender process before removing the poles. Before removing old poles, the MSEDCL fixed new poles at a safe distance, and the power supply network shifting started with the removal of old poles. Now, there will be no obstruction in the widening of Beed Bypass Road.

The sectional engineer (PWD) Sunil Kolse said," The traffic on Beed Bypass Road has increased. Hence we are removing the poles to avoid obstruction in traffic from the 13-km long road."

Adds the sectional engineer (MSEDCL) Avinash Chavan," We have relocated the electricity poles posing a threat to traffic on the safe side of the road."
