Aurangabad, Oct 18:

The recovery rate of Corona patients in the city is around 90 percent. It is a great relief to the residents, but the constant mortality rate due to Covid-19 is a matter of concern for the administration.

There is a daily rise of around 100 to 150 patients from the last week of September. The graph of the increase in the number of patients has declined, and the patients'' recovery rate is increasing.

As per the report received from the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC), the recovery rate of Corona patients in the city on Saturday reached 90.50 percent. Four days back, it was 88 percent. As the patients are recovering rapidly, the Covid Care Centres (CCC) beds are vacant. After 10 lakh population, 43,469.17 Corona tests were conducted in the city and this rate in the district is 45,600.

According to the report, 2,92,163 tests were conducted by the corporation so far, of which 2,53,314 were negative and 26,852 positive.

However, the mortality rate due to Covid-19 in the city is constant at 3 percent since last week. The rate is 2.9 percent in the district and 2.8 percent in the entire state.
