Research student to get scholarship

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Meritorious students from the Computer Science Department of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University will receive a monthly scholarship of Rs 10,000 for research. The university signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Umeed Foundation, Mumbai.

A meeting was held in the Management Council chamber on Saturday regarding this matter and the MoU was signed.

Registrar Dr Prashant Amrutkar, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology Dr Mahendra Shirsath, Head of Department Dr Ramesh Manjha, Umeed Foundation Director Sudeep Mehrotra, Dr Bharti Gawli and others were present.

According to this agreement, one meritorious student from the department will be given a monthly scholarship of Rs. 10,000 for research under the scholarship, which was launched as part of the celebration of the 75th birthday of former Head of Department Dr Suresh Chandra Mehrotra. This scholarship will be provided for two years.

Meanwhile, Dr Suresh Mehrotra and Ex-Principal Dr Uma Mehrotra paid a courtesy visit to Vice-Chancellor Dr Vijay Phulari on Saturday.
